METRO 3RD elementary and high school athletes who played in the 2019 Palarong Panlalawigan (Negros Occidental Provincial Athletic Meet of the Department of Education) received their uniform consisting of jacket with hood, long pants and sports footwear, courtesy of Third District Congressman Francisco Benitez.

"A total of 503 students from Murcia, Talisay, Silay, EB Magalona and Victorias qualified to play in the various events of the Palarong Panlalawigan that was held December 8 to 13, 2019."

Distribution of the footwear was held January 2020 in separate programs in EB Magalona, Talisay, Murcia and Silay together with Cong. Kiko and the respective mayors and other local officials, and representatives from DepEd.

Cong. Kiko who spoke during the different programs rallied the athletes to always give their best in all sports activities they participate in and urged them to continue the team spirit, fairness and sportsmanship, most of all, the dedication to excellence.*

The schedule for distribution of shoes for the athletes of Silay and Victorias was held at the Kansilayan Gym in Silay City, attended by Cong. Kiko together with Silay Mayor Mark Golez and Victorias Mayor Wantan Palanca and some of their councilors.
