USAID-Safe Water Hosts Chlorination Orientation in Barangay Ramon, Silay City

The USAID-Safe Water team conducted a vital orientation on water system chlorination and its significance at Barangay Ramon in Silay City. The event was led by Ms. Carla Quiviz from USAID Safe Water, joined by Ching from CENRO Silay, a representative from CHO-Silay, officers from Kapitan Ramon Farmers and Irrigators Association, and Barangay Captain Aguirre.

Chlorination is the process of adding chlorine to water to kill harmful bacteria and viruses. It is an essential step in ensuring that water is safe to drink and use. The orientation provided participants with information on the importance of chlorination, the different methods of chlorinating water, and the safety precautions that should be taken when handling chlorine.
