Our district team had the opportunity to visit Kawayan Collective in Dauin, Negros Occidental today! As part of our Human Settlements Balay Hilway advocacy, we’ve partnered with Kawayan as one of our bamboo suppliers for Habitat for Humanity houses.

Kawayan Collective is doing incredible work in aggregating, processing, and distributing sustainable bamboo materials. They have unlocked the full potential of bamboo as a long-lasting, renewable building material, which rivals traditional concrete and steel. By utilizing bamboo, we’re not only addressing the affordable housing backlog but also promoting environmentally friendly construction practices.
