Third District Representative Francisco “Kiko” Benitez joined Silay City Mayor Mark Golez and other city and barangay officials in the inauguration of infrastructure projects in Silay City last August 10.
In Barangay Guimbalaon, Cong. Kiko and Mayor Mark led the blessing and inauguration of the Level 2 Water System that will serve the community. Constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways and facilitated by the Third District Congressional Office, the water facility has a total cost of P 6.9 M.
A Level 2 Water System is a water supply facility consisting of a source, a reservoir, a piped distribution network with adequate treatment facility and communal faucets.
In behalf of the residents, Punong Barangay Roger Perez thanked Cong. Kiko and Mayor Mark for the facility that will now benefit households in the upland barangay of Guimbalaon, specifically Sitio Lantawan where the facility is located.
In Barangay 4 in the población of Silay, the Barangay Health Center and the Barangay Covered Court were also blessed, inaugurated and formally turned over by Cong. Kiko and Mayor Mark to the barangay officials led by Punong Barangay Romeo Ledesma.*
On August 10 , Cong. Kiko visited Barangay Bagtic in Silay City and turned over umbrellas to the Barangay Health Workers for their use as they make the rounds in the community assisting residents who need help especially during the pandemic. Cong. Kiko was welcomed by Punong Barangay Helmer Pobar.
