Metro 3rd welcomes today (February 9, 2021) 14 new graduates, all Silay City residents, of the digitalJobsPH technical training of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT).
Undergoing both virtual and face-to-face instruction from December 10, 2020 to February 9, 2021, from accredited technical trainer and assessor, the scholars-graduates will now be ready for on-line free-lancing opportunities – gainful virtual assistance work with either local or international IT outfits, and will be recognized as the “new OFWs” of the new normal IT era.
The tripartite agreement for coordination and cooperation with the DICT, the Office of Congressman Francisco Benitez and the local government units of the
Third District have paved the way for the smooth implementation of the digitaljobsPH technical training program district-wide.
Leading the virtual graduation program were DICT officials – OIC-Regional Director Mario Cunado, Provincial Officer Engr. Romeo Tome, and Head of Technical Operations Division Elmer Prudente. Also cited during the program were Shayne Fenis, trainer and Raquelle Asa, assessor.
Talisay City and Victorias City have also implemented the virtual assistance technical training program in 2019 and 2020.*
