Cong. Kiko Benitez led a stakeholders consultative meeting and dialogue today with representatives of the Philippine Army 303rd Brigade based in Minoyan, Murcia; Department of Environment & Natural Resources; Murcia local government led by Mayor Gerry Rojas; and Brgy. Minoyan Head Eric Espinosa to know more about status of the military reservation area, shelter issues involving informal settler families in the area, and the need to protect the Kanlaon Natural Park.

Issues regarding possible solutions to relocation sites were also discussed. Present were Lt. Col Romulus Rabaca, DENR’s Joan Nathaniel Gerangaya, Raffy Teguihanon & Joedcel Go. Also present was Murcia Municipal Assessor & Acting Housing Officer Randy Gamboa and Abang Lingkod Representative Marlo Jurada.•
