Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Benitez (Negros Occidental, 3rd District) and Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson formally endorsed the Asenso Victoriahanon slate for the May 2022 elections led by standard-bearer Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez during a leaders assembly at the Victorias Coliseum in Victorias City on Sunday, October 31.
Benitez and Lacson, a Love Negros leader, also rallied for support for the team, a press release said Monday, November 1.
Minority Floor Leader Stephen Paduano (Abang Lingkod Partylist) with Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, United Negros Alliance president, and board members Andrew Montelibano, Manuel Frederick “Man-man” Ko, Juvy Pepello also gave their messages of support for the Asenso Victoriahanon team.
Victorias Mayor Francis Frederick “Wantan” Palanca who has filed his candidacy as second nominee for the Abang Lingkod Party-list extolled the unity and solidarity of the Asenso party as he strongly rallied the leaders for support of the election aspirants from the provincial to the local level.
Javi Benitez, who in April this year was chosen by the Asenso leaders to be the mayoralty candidate, thanked the party leaders from all the 26 barangays of Victorias City for their trust and confidence, and promised a clean, efficient and inclusive governance anchored on transparent and participative public service.
Presented and endorsed together with the Benitez is incumbent Councilor Abelardo “Junb” Bantug III as vice mayor.
Completing the Asenso Victoriahanon line-up for members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod are incumbent councilors Virginia Adorio, Audie Malaga, Hermie Millan, Derek Palanca, Dexter Senido, Teresita Sta. Ana-Bartolome, and Dielen Tornea-Hofileña, former City Administrator Dino Acuña, Nonoyde Asis – former chief of staff of Mayor Palanca, and Punong Barangay UlysisTumimbang of Barangay 15A.*
