Talisay Displaced Workers Receive Cash Aid
Beneficiaries who are mostly displaced workers during the pandemic from different barangays of Talisay City received financial aid thru the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) during the June 26 program held at the Talisay Public Plaza. Cong. Kiko Benitez led the simple turn-over rites.
A total of 213 Talisay residents availed of the cash-for-work scheme of DOLE dubbed TUPAD or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers. The beneficiaries were provided financial assistance after a minimum of ten days work in their respective communities.
Also present were Talisay Executive Assistant Nicolai Jalandoni and DOLE coordinator Arielle Alontaga and barangay officials.*
