The Cong. Francisco Benitez – Technological University of the Phils. Low Power Station is targeted to operate in 2021 based in the TUP-V campus in Talisay City. With a financial aid of Php 1.5 M from Cong. Benitez TUP-V experts will put up a 10-watt low power frequency modulation station that will carry instructional and educational modules to students within a 10 – 20 km. radius, eight hours daily from Monday to Friday. The facility is also designed for hands-on laboratory study and emergency disaster preparedness and response system. The donation was turned over today (Nov.17) in Talisay City to TUP-V campus director Eric Malooy by District Officer Paz Marie Valenciano representing Cong. Benitez. Also present are Dr. Leonor Validor, VP for Planning & Development, Engr. Nelson Franco, asst. Director for research & extension, Grace Delumpa, asst. Director for administration & finance, and Engr. Joshua Berja, asst. Director for academic affairs.
